Animal Admission Policy

 

CAMPING PINAR SAN JOSÉ

HECAMO DE TURISMO SL, operating under the trade name CAMPING PINAR SAN JOSÉ, with tax ID 32864916D and registered office at ZAHORA Nº 17, BARBATE (CÁDIZ), in accordance with Article 29.2 of Law 7/2023, of March 28, on the protection of animal rights and welfare, hereby establishes the following COMPANION ANIMAL ADMISSION POLICY at the CAMPING PINAR SAN JOSÉ premises, subject to the conditions set out below:

CONDITIONS

Camping Pinar San José declares itself a "pet-friendly" establishment, allowing the presence and accommodation of companion animals upon prior confirmation, provided that the animal owner complies with the regulations set out in the following provisions.

1. Admission of Companion Animals

The types of animals allowed in the establishment are limited to:

  • Ferrets

  • Cats

  • Dogs

  • Birds

  • Others expressly approved by the management.

The following are prohibited:

  • Potentially dangerous dogs (PPP) and their crossbreeds, as defined by legal regulations.

  • Animals showing clear signs of aggressiveness, illness, or poor hygiene.

  • Animals in heat.

Clients wishing to stay with their pets must check availability and indicate it in the reservation and/or notify the establishment.

Pets are only allowed in “Breña” bungalows during September to June, with a maximum of 2 animals per reservation. Prior confirmation from the establishment is required.

On pitches, pets are allowed year-round, with a maximum of 3 animals per reservation, also subject to prior confirmation.

Upon booking or check-in, the establishment requires proof of a valid third-party liability insurance policy that covers the responsible persons of the animal.

A daily fee per pet applies, according to the official published rates.

Pets must have the required vaccinations and comply with all legal requirements (microchip, ownership certificate). The campsite reserves the right to request documentation at any time during the stay.

Owners must comply with the obligations and prohibitions established by Law 7/2023, or any future replacement legislation.

2. Rules for the Presence and Stay of Pets 2.1. Common Areas

  • Pets must remain in common areas accompanied by their owners and under appropriate safety conditions.

  • Cats and ferrets must be kept in carriers.

  • Dogs must be on a leash and collar compliant with regulations and wear a muzzle when required.

  • Feeding pets is only allowed in designated areas.

  • Owners are responsible for cleaning up their pet’s waste. Staff assistance may be requested.

Prohibited areas for pets:

  • Sports courts

  • Public restrooms

  • Swimming pools

  • Children’s playground

  • Supermarket

2.2. Sensitive Hygiene Areas

In compliance with Royal Decree 1021/2022, of December 13:

  • Pets are not allowed in areas where food is prepared, handled, displayed, or stored.

  • The restaurant, being outsourced, sets its own rules.

2.3. Accommodation in Pitches/Bungalows

  • Pets may not be left alone in the accommodation unit.

  • Owners must ensure that pets do not make disturbing noise.

  • Pets must not climb on beds, sofas, or furniture.

  • Bathing pets in bathtubs, showers, or sinks is prohibited. A designated area is provided.

3. Access and Stay of Assistance Dogs 3.1. Permitted Access

Access is permitted for assistance dogs belonging to:

  • Military and law enforcement, when on duty

  • Persons with disabilities, in accordance with regional regulations

3.2. Conditions for Assistance Dogs

Owners must:

  • Carry and show ID, unit accreditation card, and the dog's official health documents.

  • Ensure the dog wears visible identification on collar/harness and has a microchip.

  • Keep the dog at their side with proper restraint.

  • Assistance dogs are not allowed in food handling or staff-only areas, or pools.

Access may be denied if:

  • There is imminent danger to persons or the dog.

  • The dog shows signs of illness, poor hygiene, or injury that may pose a risk.

4. Early Termination of Stay and Liability 4.1. Breach of this policy may result in the termination of the pet’s stay without any refund. 4.2. If the guest refuses to leave, the establishment may call law enforcement. 4.3. In case of violations of legal obligations regarding pet ownership, the establishment may report the matter to competent authorities. 4.4. Owners are liable for any damage, harm, or disturbance caused by their animals to people, other animals, or property. 4.5. Hecamo de Turismo S.L. reserves the right to claim compensation from the animal’s owner for any expenses incurred due to damages caused.
